Bombay Rugs makes hand-crafted rugs the slow way — tufted and knotted by skilled artisans on Indian looms, in wool, cotton and viscose. No two pieces leave our workshop exactly alike, because no two are made by machine.
Two crafts, one obsession
Hand-tufted rugs are drawn, tufted and sheared like a sculpture — plush, painterly and quick to fall in love with. Hand-knotted rugs are the pinnacle of the craft: built knot by knot over months, these are the pieces that get passed down.
Made to order, made to measure
Most of our rugs can be woven in bespoke sizes and colours. If you have a room, a palette, or just a picture torn from a magazine — we will make the rug that belongs there.
